Solution: The first thing I did was work out the edition that the question showed. 5 x 27 which equals 135. Then I had to complete the second equation. I tried 3 x 27 this got me 81, then I added up the answer and got 945 so that was my answer.

Solve: Firstly, I doubled $3 and 250 so double $3 is $6, and double 250 is 500. So because it has$5 for 500 g and $6 for 500 g it means the cheapest one was $5 for 500 g.

Solve: First, I knew that 4 times something equaled 36 and I know to check if the multiplication is correct by using division. So I divided 36 by 4 and got 9.

Solve: First I  saw that all the numbers had equal chances so the 5 had a 1 out of 5 chance that the spinner would land in it.

Solution: First thing I do is change all the operations into their invert operation. So if I work backwards I multiply by 3 which gives me 36. Then I divided that by 4 which gave me 9, so that was my answer.

Solving: The first thing I did was turn the operations shown into the invert operation of them. So it became 18 times 2 divided by 3. 18 times 2 equals 36. 36 divided by 3 equals 12. So they started with 12.

Conclusion: In conclusion I used the strategy of working backwards to get my answer of 12.

Solution: When you work backwards you use the inverse operations of the ones shone in opposite order. First I multiplied 5 by 4 because multiplication is the inverse of division. That was 20 so then I subtracted 15 because subtraction is additions inverse operation. that gave me 5. So that was the original number.

Conclusion: In conclusion i used the strategy of working backwards to help me find my answer, which was 5.

Mathematicians toolbox: I used the strategy of working backwards.

Solution:
First I knew if I was working backwards I would need to use the invert operations of the 
equations shone. If the result was 20 I would minus 12, then I would be on 8 then, I would multiply by 2 which would give me 16. So my answer was 16.

Conclusion: In conclusion I used my knowledge of working backwards to get an answer of 16.

Read : The sum of four consecutive whole numbers is 94. What are the four whole numbers.

Mathematicians Toolbox: I used guess check and improve

Big question :  What are the four whole consecutive numbers?

Solve : First I knew that the consecutive numbers would be in  its early twenties so firstly I tried 22,23,24 and 25 and when I added them together it equaled 94. Those four numbers were the had a sum of 94.

Conclusion: I found that you need to try lots of ways, but sometimes it comes straight away.
